Vaak wordt de vraag gesteld of het mogelijk is de software van de MeddiTech ambulante apparatuur te koppelen aan een informatie systeem. Om de prijs uiterst scherp te houden is gekozen voor een zogenaamde stand-alone opzet. Het is wel mogelijk om in een netwerk te werken, waarbij de database op computer toegankelijk is voor meerdere computers (waarop de netwerk software is ge-installeerd).

* ABPM-05 FDA approved

De FDA heeft de ABPM-05 (inclusief software) goedgekeurd onder nummer 510(K) K071960. De tekst uit het rapport treft u onderstand aan.

'The Meditech ABPM-05 Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor automatically measures the systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure and the pulse rate of adult patients under ambulatory circumstances using the standard oscillometric method with a standard upper arm cuff, sequentially as preprogrammed by the adjoining software.
The -device is intended for use with the standard indications and contraindications for ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.'

Vanaf januari 2008 is de BlueBP-05 beschikbaar. De BlueBP-05 is qua functionaliteit gelijk aan de ABPM-05, maar communiceert middels Bluetooth© technologie met de computer. Hierdoor is er geen optische kabel meer nodig en geeft het u meer bewegingsvrijheid.
